Festivals in Portugal

Eat many Pastéis de Nata, get a souvenir that's made out of cork and visit one of the amazing festivals! The country has beautiful beaches and great weather in summer, so there are festivals that take place on one of the many beaches. Try and fit at least one in your itinerary, the Portuguese festival vibe is amazing.

NOS Alive

Have a weekend to spare in Lisbon in the summer? NOS Alive is the perfect way to fill it up! Make your way to the waterfront (don't forget to bring sunscreen) and enjoy your favourite bands and artists.

Algés is only about 10 minutes by train from Santos station in downtown Lisbon. Take Linha de Cascais and get off at Algés, the festival is right in front of the station.

MEO Sudoeste

5 days at the Portuguese coast, a line-up with dj's, rock bands and indie groups and days full of sunshine: sounds like a party! Make sure to include this one in your itinerary through Portugal, maybe stop here on your way to the Algarve?

From Lisbon Sete Rios Station, Rede Expressos busses leave frequently to Zambujeira do Mar. The drive will take around 3,5 hours.

RFM Somnii

The people from RFM Somnii prove every year, again and again, that they can build an amazing festival. The party goes on long after the sun has set, so make sure you're well rested when you arrive. And ready to party of course!

The town of Figueira da Foz is easily reachable by train from all over Portugal. From Lisbon it's a 4,5 hour journey, from Porto the ride will take 2,5 hours.

GALP Beach Party

Dates: 26 - 27 June 2020

Location: Praia do Aterro Norte, Matosinhos, Portugal

A weekend at the beach, but slightly different... GALP Beach Party (the name says it all) is one of the biggest beach festivals of Portugal, organised by the popular radio station Nova Era. Expect some of the best dj's and producers to put on a show, it will be amazing.

Matosinhos is a big neighborhood in Porto, reachable with the metro. Take the A-line in the direction of Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at Matosinhos Sul.

Super Bock Super Rock

Dates: 16 - 18 July 2020

Location: Meco Beach, Sesimbra, Portugal

Headliners: Foals, Rex Orange County, The Neighbourhood

Super Bock Super Rock will celebrate its 25th birthday this year, and because of that they will move the festival to the beach. Great decision if you ask us! Besides famous artists, like Lana del Rey, you can also enjoy the music of promising Portuguese artists.

To get to Meco Beach, your best option is taking a car. You could also take a bus from Lisbon to Sesimbra, and from there catch the bus to Meco.
